3) Accounts Receivable Job Description
The Accounts Receivable position is a Medical Accounts Receivable, Payment posting position in our front office which includes the following job responsibilities:
- Insurance and patient electronic and paper billing (no coding), posting insurance and patient payments, post charges, collect payments, account follow-up, aging reports, appeals, bank deposits, acquiring authorizations, CTP, referrals, verification of benefits on line, entering patient demographics and insurance information.
- Must have knowledge of Insurance EOB’s, fee schedules, authorizations, benefits, deductables, adjustments, refunds, electronic medical billing software, HCFA 1500 claims submission, electronic claim examination and correction, Windows and Quicken
- Candidates must be proficient at interpretation of large volume EOB’s and daily posting of insurance payments involving adjustments, adherence to fee schedules, for our practice with multiple providers.
- This is a team approach with Front Desk and Billing support in a congenial professional environment. Must be experienced with account follow-up with insurance companies to resolve unpaid claims, double coverage, adjustments and patient statements
4) Medical accounts receivable posting EMR admin assist
This is a multifaceted job which includes competence in HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ,ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS SELECTION, and MONITORING, and USE for a DOCTORS’ office, in addition to MEDICAL ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ASSISTANT, Administrative Assistant and the following job responsibilities:
Health information technology responsibilities include:
- Assist with selection, conversion, set up electronic medical records
- Monitor computer medical software system for front and back office
- Assist with set up and monitor network system
- Scanning setup and maintaining electronic records both clinical and front office-patient registration and charts
Accounts receivable assistant responsibilities to include:
- Assist with patient balances and monthly statement reviews, collections of balances due
- EOB interpretation and posting of insurance and patient payments
- Assist with bank deposits and daily balancing
- Assist with posting charges as needed, verification of benefits online, entering pt demographics and insurance information, and monitoring field populating
- Assist with entering authorization and referrals as needed
- Assist with Answering Phones and Scheduling Appointments as needed
This is a congenial professional work environment in a well established group practice. Must be mature, pleasant, reliable, organized, detail oriented, accurate, and adept with numbers and computer software and systems maintenance. Must be able to work in a fast paced medical group practice to assist the Practice Administrator.
